Anne Burke will travel anywhere but is happiest driving through dusty towns in Baja California looking for ceviche tostadas. She hadn't gone much of anywhere until her 30s, when she quit her newspaper job to spend a year and a half in various countries in Latin America, supposedly to study Spanish. Anne grew up in Coronado, Calif., and has a master's degree in international affairs from Columbia University. She lives on the noisiest street in the entire city of Los Angeles.
