Behind every VIA article there's an intrepid reporter risking sunburn on an exotic Tahitian cruise, indigestion on San Francisco's best food tours, and over-exfoliation in the West Coast's most relaxing spas. These are the men and women who lived to tell the tale.

Amanda Cherrin is a freelance writer living in Berkeley, Calif. She has written several pieces for Via.

Amber is a travel agent and freelance writer based in the Bay Area who is perpetually over-caffeinated. Her favorite weekend activities include checking out new breweries, day trips to the beach regardless of the weather, and enjoying live music—unless it's baseball season, then she's at a Giants game. She has written for Seattle Met Magazine's dining blog and Blending Magazine, published in Florence.

Amie Tullius is happiest with a long stretch of road in front of her. There’s a big, poorly drawn triangle of road that she loves the best: up from the Mojave desert and Southern California, where she spent a lot of time as a kid; through San Francisco, where she got her MFA in writing; up through Chico, where she grew up; and over to Utah, where she now lives with her husband and two dogs, Renji and Suki.
