One of the Antique Powerland Museums' highlights is this Case steam tractor.

The Antique Powerland Museums complex in Brooks, Ore., features 15 attractions on its 62-acre site, all dedicated to preserving vintage machinery. Old-time motorized equipment ranges from trolleys and trains to specialized farming and forestry vehicles, such as this colorful Case steam tractor from 1880. $1 AAA admission discount. The Hudson Hornet looks squat, but between 1951 and 1955, it won upwards of 80 AAA and Nascar races—partly due to the handling that also made it a great police car. The Law Enforcement Museum in Anchorage displays a restored 1952 Hornet and other crime-fighting equipment. (907) 279-5050, alaskatroopermuseum.com.
