Since 1920, the town and environs of Lone Pine, Calif., near the eastern foot of the Sierra Nevada, have served as the backdrop for some 400 films and 100 TV shows, from The Lone Ranger to G.I. Jane. The new Beverly and Jim Rogers Museum of Lone Pine Film History celebrates this past with exhibits including a stagecoach used in Rawhide and spurs worn by John Wayne.
