Craigslist Web Site for Travel
The popular Internet bulletin board, www.craigslist.org, helps visitors hunt for an apartment, sell a car, find a job, or discover great local spots.
IF YOU'RE GOING...
The increasingly popular Internet bulletin board known as Craigslist (www.craigslist.org) draws some 5 million repeat visitors every month. But those who use the Web site to hunt for an apartment, find a job, or sell a car in any of the 45 (soon to be 50) cities the site covers in the United States, Canada, and England, often don't think to use it for travel research.
Craigslist can be a prime source for sublets or house and apartment exchanges, especially in blue-chip destinations such as San Francisco, New York, and London. And discussion forums for each city point visitors to locals' favorite nightspots, restaurants, hikes, and the like.
