Andrea Wilbur-Sigo's Thunderbird Saves Wolf is on display at the Seattle Art Museum.

Carved by Andrea Wilbur-Sigo of the Squaxin Island tribe, this cedar bentwood box illustrates the legend Thunderbird Saves Wolf, in which a powerful winged creature restores fish to a river to help his canine kin. See 175 artworks, from boxes to baskets and paintings, by the Coast Salish of Washington and British Columbia in S'abadebThe Gifts: Pacific Coast Salish Art and Artists at the Seattle Art Museum through January 11.
