Whose suitcase?

Mix-ups at the luggage carousel are common, and no wonder: 55 percent of the bags made by Samsonite (the largest U.S. luggage maker) are black. VIA readers know how to make theirs stand out.

"Trade in your black suitcase for a red one," says Catherine Drury of Gearhart, Ore.

"Laminate a big picture of a loved one or pet and attach it to your suitcase with a small chain or plastic cord," advises Donna Clibbon of Banks, Ore.

"I tie a ribbon around my suitcase handle," writes Glenda McCan of Stockton, Calif.

"Use spray paint and a homemade cardboard stencil to display your initials," says Jane Wallace of Walnut Creek, Calif.
