Hotel Insomnia?

You pack a pillow from home, stick plugs in your ears, and light a scented candle.What else helps you sleep soundly in your hotel room?

"You must have fresh air!" says Jim Laybourn of Jackson,Wyo. "Stay in a place with windows that open."

"Request a quiet room," says Nancy Gibson of Missoula,Mont., "away from the freeway,elevators, ice machine."

"Lavender oil on a cloth next to your pillow can have a calming effect," says Leanne Hackney of Idaho Falls, Idaho.

"Turn off the phone ringer," writes Ping Chang of Albany,Calif. "I once received a 4:30 a.m. wake-up call requested by the previous guest. Errr!"

"Stuff a towel at the bottom of the door," suggests Andrea Timothy of Draper, Utah."It blocks noise and light."
