Gadgets To Go

illustration of man with travel gadget under hat

Flashlight, check. Swiss Army knife, of course. But what other travel gizmos do VIA readers swear by?

"Duct tape," writes Christian Lepley of San Francisco. "It can fix a hole in your jacket or a broken camera strap."

"A minifridge," says Patricia Kabrich of Las Vegas. "It plugs into my car’s cigarette lighter and keeps my sodas and snacks cold."

"An over-the-door hook will come to the rescue when there’s no place to hang your robe," says Natalie Barrios of Sheridan, Ore.

"A pair of opera glasses," suggests Sandie Locke-Paddon of Corralitos, Calif. "Use them for bird- and people-watching."

"My sound machine," writes Amalie Border of Belgrade, Mont. "It shuts out noises and lulls me to sleep."
