In your list of wine country outings [2] (January/February 2013), you totally missed the Shenandoah Valley, east of Plymouth, Calif. There are some absolutely great wineries with mind-blowing old vine zins. Once the winetasting is over, dinner at Taste [3] is in order.

My husband and I have heard the Alaska's northern lights [4] (January/February 2013) "talking" on the Taylor Highway southeast of Fairbanks, Alaska. They crackled and snapped while weaving and streaking across the sky.

In your article about Park City, Utah [7] (January/February 2013), you totally overlooked Deer Valley Resort [8]. The premiere ski area has exceptional slopes, food, and customer service. Park City Mountain Resort and Canyons Resort are good, but Deer Valley is great!
