Rising Sun coffee scores a hit with java drinkers on the Big Island.
A new bean is generating buzz on Hawaii's Big Island. Last year, Will & Grace Farms' Rising Sun coffee from the Kau district scored high in an international tasting. Devotees say the low-acidity soil at the island's southernmost tip makes for a sweet, mellow brew. You can find the estate-grown coffee beans at Will and Grace Tabios's store in Naalehu (95-5657 Mamalahoa Hwy.; $25 a pound) or order directly at (808) 557-4441 or gwtabios105@yahoo.com [2].
