After fleeing war-torn Europe in 1942, a young Manuel Izquierdo arrived in Portland and quickly found guidance in the city's leading artists. Over time, the sculptor created metal and bronze statues that still dot public spaces across the Portland area, including The Dreamer in Pettygrove Park. This major exhibit showcases the genesis of his 60-year career.
