When writer Kristen Haney was invited to spend the night at the Hyatt Regency in Monterey, she accepted pronto and then asked herself a simple question: Is it possible to spend a family-friendly day in this Central Coast tourist hotspot if you don’t go to the very cool Monterey Bay Aquarium? Many would say the answer is no, but Kristen reported back that the answer is a resounding yes.
