For more than a century, AAA has offered the largest emergency roadside service program in the United States.
AAA invented roadside assistance and we remain the largest program in the United States. Our heritage as a not-for-profit membership organization goes hand in hand with dependable, fast, friendly service.
With AAA, you don’t have to read the fine print. Other roadside assistance programs may claim to cost less, but they often come with a catch. One insurance company, for example, offers “free lifetime membership” in its motor club. What does that mean? You do get one complimentary tow (in return for an insurance quote), but the benefit expires in six months. After that, the “free” membership merely means you have access to a prenegotiated $75 fee for a 10-mile tow—$18 more than your annual AAA Classic membership [2]. Other roadside help, such as service for a flat tire or dead battery, will cost you $50.
Compare that to what you get with AAA:
The upshot? AAA members are more satisfied, more likely to renew, and more likely to recommend AAA than members of any other U.S. motor club.
