A show-stopping set of room vignettes inspired by fine craft pieces will take over San Francisco's Fort Mason Center in Make Room: Modern Design Meets Craft. The American Craft Council partners with nine renowned San Francisco-based interior designers and architects to present the unique showcase, which celebrates the symbiotic relationship between craft and design. This year, the showcase explores the theme of "Let's Entertain," featuring everything from serving pieces to furniture, light fixtures to textiles, and sculptures to decorative accessories. Each designer transforms a 10x8-foot white space into a warm, welcoming, and festive room based on a craft piece made by one of the 220 participating show artists. The rooms give context to the handpicked pieces of fine craft, bringing the art to life while capturing the interior designers' and architects' unique styles, whether contemporary, classic, elegant, or eclectic. As the largest juried fine craft show on the West Coast, it is a must-see event for fine craft collectors and design enthusiasts.
