The transportation history of the U.S. was inspired by the drive for freedom—whether that be immigrants arriving to Ellis Island by boat, Americans moving out West by train in the 19th century, or the car culture that transformed the American identity. Journey Stories, the newest exhibit at the California State Railroad Museum in Sacramento highlights how transportation has allowed for Americans to leave everything behind and chase the American Dream across state borders or even across the country. The exhibit utilizes photographs, display panels, narrative text, and more.
