Who says plants are harmless? Chomp: They Came from the Swamp! at San Francisco's Conservatory of Flowers unveils vegetation's vicious side with hundreds of examples of carnivorous plants. Among the insect-eating specimans are Venus flytraps; pitcher plants, which capture prey in deep, liquid-filled cavities; and butterworts, which snag bugs with gluey leaves. Large-scale replicas of several species are also on display to give visitors a revealing bug's-eye perspective.
