A majority of the fresh oysters consumed in California are grown in 450 acres of Arcata Bay. This annual festival offers the opportunity to eat the little gems fresh out of the sea. If past festivals are any indication, you'll also be able to try a variety of oyster dishes, such as oyster pizza, prepared by local restaurateurs and caterers. Don't miss the large farmers' market, the arts & crafts fair, live music all day, and a variety of kids' activities.
