Between True Blood, the Twilight series, and countless other television shows and movies, supernatural subjects permeate pop culture. The Boise Art Museum taps into this guilty fixation with Anna Fidler: Vampires and Wolf Men. The exhibit's delightfully creepy portraits were inspired by black-and-white-photographs of 19th-century Oregonians that Fidler artfully morphs into things that go bump in the night. With colored pencil, paint, and acrylic washes, young and old faces are brought to life—or made undead—with haunting expressions for an eerie show that visitors can sink their teeth into.
