From her office overlooking Beach Blanket Babylon Boulevard in North Beach, Lisa Crovo daydreams about being swept away on romantic excursions between updates of Insight Guides and Gayot's San Francisco Restaurants. By day she plays it safe, and looks both ways before she crosses the street. On weekends, Lisa rockets out of the Bay Area in search of high culture in haunts such as Napa Valley's galleries—the Hess Collection and Clos Pegase.
