As a child, Elizabeth Dougherty spent summers camping though half the states, Canada, and Europe with her parents and five siblings. She now prefers airplanes and hotels. Elizabeth lives in Palo Alto, Calif., where she is helping launch a travel itinerary–building website. She has served as a contributing editor for Sunset Books and wrote the book String Art for Klutz Publishing. As a former executive editor, Elizabeth ran book publishing programs for companies such as Gymboree, Pottery Barn, The Body Shop, and Parenting and Working Mother magazines.
