Seafood is served
Sea stars and other oceanic critters grace dinner platters molded from aquamarine glass in honor of the Monterey Bay Aquarium’s 25th anniversary. Sales of the Seafood Watch Annieglass Collection ($58–$72) benefit the aquarium’s Seafood Watch program, which promotes responsible ocean fishing and aquaculture worldwide. Wood goods
Boise arborist Mike Goulder crafts each of Treeworks’ handmade cooking utensils ($10-$35) from limbs or logs of locust, walnut, apricot, and other trees that had been headed for the landfill. The wood dries for at least a year before Goulder cuts and sands the implements. Find them at the Capital City Public Market on Saturdays through December. (208) 338-7824, treeworksidaho.com.
