A Cambodian Temple
IF YOU'RE GOING...
Poised on a pillow of clouds floating above the earth, this smiling Buddha is one of dozens of statues and tableaux that tower over a spacious paved plaza at Wat Dharmararam, a Cambodian temple on the outskirts of Stockton, Calif. The figures, sculpted in concrete, represent scenes from the great teacher's life. Free and open to visitors daily, the temple also hosts a Cambodian New Year festival April 12 through 14. 3732 E. Carpenter Rd., www.visitstockton.org.
