Stephen Madden
Stephen Madden had his interest in limnology (the study of bodies of fresh water)
whetted "far above Cayuga's waters" in New York's Finger Lakes region, first as
a student at Cornell and later as editor of Cornell Magazine. He brought
this pool of knowledge to his article on the effects of tourism
on Lake Tahoe
. Stephen
is now the editor of Outdoor Explorer magazine ("Real Adventure, Real People")
and the father of a baby boy, Luke Thompson Madden (talk about a real adventure).
Stephen headed for Hawaii and discovered that the ancient art of
feather craft
is
flourishing in Waikiki.
